About the event
Lina Sandell wrote over 600 poetic texts. The hymns we all know from baptisms and funerals; "Blott en dag" (Just a day) and "Tryggare kann ingen vara" (No one can be safer) are safe in their delivery and often convey the image of a mother holding her child to her breast. The safe embrace is a recurring feature in her poetry. She refers to "being protected" under both father and mother's wings. During a boat trip across Vättern, one of the many tragedies that left its mark on Lina Sandell's life occurs. Her father was out on deck during the morning hours when a strong wave caused the boat to swing so that her father fell backwards overboard; he could not be saved.
As a performer, Cecilie is fascinated by the longing in her texts, the unrest that underlies her writing and the contrast between strong faith and strong…
